I didn't plan to start a management company. Honestly, the last thing I wanted was the hassle, guest messages at midnight, chasing cleaners, dealing with maintenance calls. So when I got my first property, I did what made sense and handed it to someone else.

I thought it would make my life easier.

It didn't. Every month it lost money, and every month the excuse was the same, bad market, slow season, it'll pick up. The direct bookings they promised me never came. But their fees came out like clockwork.

I eventually took it back, figured it out myself, and realised the property was fine. It just needed someone who actually cared.

I built my own portfolio from there and put the whole experience behind me. Until the people I'd personally helped find and set up their Airbnbs started calling me with stories that sounded exactly like mine. One landlord was being told his properties weren't getting bookings because nobody was staying in the area. Mine were in the same building. They were fully booked.

I couldn't walk away from that. So I took on their properties, built proper systems around it, and slowly something real grew out of it. Not because I set out to build a business, but because I knew I could do it better, and I cared enough to try.

We now look after 32 properties. Every single one gets the same attention I give my own. That's not something I say, it's something I built this whole thing around.
